there’s nothing old about this house

Purchasing the items you see in your favorite magazines just got one step simpler. Wayfair.com, online retailer of home furnishings, has teamed up with This Old House to bring you an e-commerce shop inspired by the pages of the popular magazine.

The Time Inc. title is known for its home improvement remodeling tips, but also for its trendsetting decor featured throughout the magazine. What was originally a television series hosted by Bob Vila, This Old House has transformed into a true American brand. The magazine debuted in 1995 and since then, loyal readers turn to the brand whether they’re re-painting a kitchen, installing wainscot, or decorating a patio.

For the magazine’s partnership with Wayfair, This Old House Shop will highlight that same All-American brand that readers have grown to know and love. The e-commerce shop will feature offers from categories including furniture, lighting, faucets, textiles, tools, and more chosen by none other than the magazine’s editors.

The e-commerce partnership is not the first forged by a Time Inc. title. Coastal Living ventured into the e-commerce world in September 2012 with Coastal Living at Wayfair. Similar to the This Old House Shop, Coastal Living used its editors to curate products that resonate with the readers. “We are able to better serve our readers by bringing the design aesthetics we love to one trusted retail destination for the seamless extension of our brand into their homes and lives,” explained Coastal Living editor-in-chief, Antonia van der Meer in an article on PR Newswire.

Inspired by the pages of the magazine, readers can now turn to the This Old House Shop for expertly curated items. It seems like spring cleaning and redecorating just got a whole lot easier.
